SOS

We are very pleased to have been asked by Brighton-based Servants of Science to help with the promotion of their new digital-only album another day (The Swan Song: Live).

This will be available from June 29th on all digital platforms with pre-ordering live right now on BandCamp.

It’s Fact!

Front man of prog-metallers Enochian Theory Benedict Harris-Hayes has decided on PGR as the most suitable home for his new solo project Oceanica.

Ben has agreed a deal that will see 3 EPs released over the next 12 months: OneDark, TwoLight and ThreeGrey.

Each of them will showcase a different aspect of his songwriting beginning with prog metal/rock, through acoustic and ending with experimental.

It is hoped to have some live shows in place to support the EPs.

5 not 12

Apostles of Chaos – a new UK prog/rock band – have signed a contract to join the label. The band was initially formed by two ex-members of This Winter Machine, although only one remains.

Their influences are many, but expect great rock riffs and lots of melodies when the first tracks are released in the Spring of this year. A debut album is planned for Autumn so stay tuned for more information.

Roster Update

Burntfield – with its origins in Finland, but now firmly established in Amsterdam – has joined the label. The band formed in 2012 and has 2 EPs under its belt. A new album is scheduled for release on 7th May. Their music is built on soaring harmonies and powerful melody with elements from both AoR and Hard Rock. The quartet will launch their pre-order and publicity campaigns on 1st April globally.

Live IT!

A lot of footage was captured of IT in action at Progtoberfest back in October 2017. Andy Rowberry has now completed the first video from this, which shows the band in fine form before an enthusiastic crowd of south London prog rockers with a version of ‘Voices’ taken from the very successful We’re All In This Together album.

You can view the footage HERE.

New Signing

We are delighted to welcome this exciting UK band onto our roster and are thrilled that they have chosen us to help them bring their music to a wider audience.

The band play a brand of progressive rock that will satisfy fans of Pink Floyd – providing they like it served with helpings of alt-rock, ambient, blues and electronic trip-hop!

A slot has already been secured at the inaugural Fusion Festival in Stourport-on-Severn on 31st March – a bill that also includes our own IT.

You can read a lot more about them on their Artist page on the site.

Gift of Live

As a way of saying thank you to the many people that supported them during a successful 2017 – when Black Science became their biggest selling album to date – Machines Dream are releasing a FREE album on Christmas Day.

Recorded during the CD Launch Event in Sault Ste. Marie for Black Science, this is the band warts and all. Nothing was added, changed or deleted so have fun spotting the bum notes or where someone was out of tune!

This digital-only release features tracks from all the albums so is a worthy addition to any collection. It can be downloaded at the band BandCamp page.

PGR goes Irish!

We are thrilled to announce that local singer-songwriter Dovile Lee has agreed to join our journey. Not since Hedfuzy have we had an Irish artist on the books and there is great delight that – once again – this is the case.

Dovile will release her debut EP My Fairytale via PGR on 27th November in both digital and physical format. The digipack has an 8 page lyric and information booklet included.

The 6 songs are full of haunting melodies and exceptional vocals. See what you think by checking out the release video.

Naryan Review

We were thrilled to receive notification that the Closet Concert Arena blog had taken the time to review both albums from our recent Finnish signing Naryan. Vinny Iacocca has really taken the time to listen to the music and understand what lies beneath.

His thoughts are certainly in line with our own: these tracks are cinematic in scope and compel the listener to drift away behind closed eyes.

Enough of this! Read the review and allow the author to transport you to the world of melancholic progressive rock at Closet Concert Arena.
