Winter Is Here
The new album from This Winter Machine, which has been highly-anticipated by fans of prog rock the world over, sees light of day in both digital and physical formats. The Yorkshire 5 piece recently had a track on the covermount CD of Prog Magazine and have been receiving advance airplay on radio stations globally. Indeed, the former pronounced the band as ‘ones to watch’ in their first edition of the new year. The album is available on all digital platforms bar BandCamp and also as a physical CD from BIG CARTEL.
Machines Dream have made the full session recorded in November 2016 for the Meridian FM Festival available to fans. This puts a twist on some fan favourites, but also – in a twistier way – reworks two songs that have not been heard before (these will appear in their original form on the 3rd album Black Science).
Fans can avail of this offer by visiting BANDCAMP or their digital supplier of choice (where it is NOT free, but the music needs to be where the people are).
Christmas is certainly a time when families come together so it is a personal pleasure to announce that another Canadian band – 5 piece Lunar Solace from Toronto – and featuring the nephew of our CEO – have joined the ranks at PGR.
Originally put together for a High School Battle of the Bands competition – where they took first place – Lunar Solace have been gigging a lot around their home city to great acclaim.
Realising that this was more than just an escape from their university studies, the band decided that recording and releasing some songs would be a good move.
Five were delivered to Will Geraldo at Estudio Cantara and mastered to the usual fantastic standard. Now available via standard digital stores (iTunes, GooglePlay etc) and on BandCamp, the EP is an excellent slice of indie rock.
